Curriculum – Portfolio Review Monthly

 

Randomly choose 5 children’s portfolios and complete the following checklist – tick where portfolio complies with checklist.

Portfolio 5

Information from Educators is recorded regularly in portfolio.

Specific information about the child is included in portfolio (rather than generic group information)

Information from families is recorded regularly in portfolio

 

Child’s interests, abilities, skills, knowledge and cultural heritage are used to build the curriculum and scaffold learning

 

Significant learning is documented in a variety of ways (painting, photos, drawings, craft, written comments, learning stories, strength trees, celebration of achievement charts etc)

 

Documentation includes EYLF/MTOP Learning Outcomes

 

Documentation shows learning is based on child’s life with their family and community
Documentation includes educators’ reflections which lead to improved learning outcomes for child

 

Documentation includes learning from everyday routines

 

Documentation includes learning about healthy eating and physical activity
Documentation includes learning about environmental sustainability
Child’s Celebration of Achievement Charts is regularly updated

 

If a portfolio was missing any of the above please rectify ASAP.
